Administrative Assistant
The unsung heroes of the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office are the staff of Administrative Assistants. Without their efforts, day in and day out, our daily operations would certainly suffer.
On a daily basis, they field all telephone calls into the office along with managing and dispersing faxes. They maintain the back-up dispatching station for the Owensboro Daviess County 911 Central Dispatch Center. They also make entries into the RMS system, manage correspondence files, personnel files, and manage office supplies. The bulk of their work is centered around the clerical needs of our Command Staff.
Due to budgetary restrictions, our Criminal Investigations Division (CID) had to release a part-time Administrative Assistant a few years ago. Althe Hatfield now uses half of her work day to help CID with clerical duties. Heather Rouse takes care of the lion’s share of Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon (CCDW) applications and renewals.
